At Picnic, we are an international talented Tech Team of more than 100 developers. We are dedicated to write code of the highest quality that will run on infrastructure which is designed for scale. With our explosive growth, we’ve had the opportunity to welcome new colleagues and enjoy passing on our love for clean code and scalable platforms.
Given our expansion plans, we need now your help to transmit this passion with the same excitement and efficiency as is currently done. This is where you come in. As the Picnic Tech Professor, you’ll design, in cooperation with the team leads, a 6-weeks curriculum containing all the relevant subjects for the integration of our most recent tech team members.
As a Java and Python expert, you’ll be responsible for teaching the curriculum, and making sure the newcomers are getting as much practical experience, as well as theoretical knowledge. Next to this you will be responsible for running the Continuous Learning Program. And if that’s not enough of a challenge for you, we are open to the possibility of combining this role with a software developer position in the tech team.

👉🏼 Who you are
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar
- Experience as a software developer (using Java or Python)
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a teaching position at an university
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Out-of-the-box thinking and initiative: Hands-on, nothing-is-impossible mindset
- Fluency in English
