My ideas become reality quickly

Nice to meet you, I’m Alejandra! I am an engineer from Mexico, and I am one of the Project Engineers at Picnic. I chose to work for Picnic because I knew that the scale-up environment would allow me to develop projects that would go from initial plans to fully operational within only a few months. I knew it would be challenging and fast-paced, and that I would have the opportunity to learn a lot on the way. What I never imagined was how much fun I would have while doing it, and the high amount of responsibility and freedom I would be given. This makes Picnic a unique company to work for!

My job as a project engineer consists of planning, developing, and implementing projects that vary from the opening of new distribution and fulfillment centers to making Picnic a sustainable company and a successful profitable business. I am responsible for projects both in the Netherlands and Germany as well as for supporting the running operations and assuring business continuity, safety, and environmentally friendly growth to build the best Milkman on earth. During my last project, I was responsible for the design, planning, and building of Picnic’s largest Fulfillment Center in Germany which will employ over 300 people in its final state. It was a great achievement for the team to open the site two weeks ahead of our initial planning!

Picnic is a fast-growing company that is constantly developing, where my ideas become projects and my projects become reality quickly. Creativity, problem-solving, and a go-getter mindset are key skills for my role as a Project Engineer.
